Seniors Alf Haines Chapman Pairs
20th February 2023
16 pairs and Mark whose unfortunately lost his partner - before play - not on the course!
A much colder start to the day but all importantly, dry.
Lots of us talked about missed opportunities today, but Bill and Graham K obviously didn't miss as many as the rest, coming in with an excellent 44, but only just nosing Mike T and Ken's matching 44, by a better back 6.
Funny enough I mentioned Dave H's driving in the last Competition write up, when making a ref to just how long Andy was hitting the ball in our 4. Well the highlight in our 4 ball today was Dave's drive on the 16, which we struggled to find where expected around the trees and green side bunker. But did discover off the back of the green! It was turned into a birdie (NB DH also got a mention about two of those in the last comp!).
Ray Facts
A total of 17 blob holes. (Ed. Hands up for 1)
Highest scoring hole 17 with 46 points.
Surprise scoring for hole 7 ( over the lake with forward tees ) 44 points.
Lowest scoring hole 5 with 19 points.
