2022 Matches and Results
A very successful year for Captain Dave. 8 Wins, 5 losses and only 1 draw, defined a year in which most clubs struggled with numbers. One of those losses was at home, but two away matches were won. Boyce Hill a notable achievement. Not sure how that compares with past Captain's success, but it must be pretty good and I'm sure they will debate it amongst themselves at length!
Secretary Bill was kept on his toes, having to cope with the loss of a club mid year, date changes, securing players and most importantly identifying a menu option that won approval! 2022 - the 'Year of the Pie'.
A new way of charging for home and away matches, with drinks included, was introduced and worked very successfully. Although costs have gone up they are still excellent value.
Most importantly though was the good humoured fun and competition that we all enjoyed with fellow club players from the local area during the year.
We have Romford GC as a new addition for the 2023 Season (to replace Orsett) and another 16 home and away matches to support and enjoy, so do get involved when you are offered the opportunity.
