Greetings All,
We started the new Winter Away Day series at Brentwood with some seriously good bacon rolls. The weather held for us while the course was quite wet and not in as good condition as Warley. Some of the players were keeping themselves safe and not having the food element of the day for which Brentwood kindly allowed a reduction in cost.
The YELLOW JERSEY was conspicuous by it's absence ---Where are you !!!!!!!
No major incidents reached my ears although Captain Steve felt he walked farther than most when he had to leave the buggy on the pathways whilst playing his shots.
Some good scores were recorded with Spiggy on 40, Roger 37 , and 3 on 35 (Dave S taking 3rd with a back 9 of 21).
13 of the 21 scored 30 or more - full results on table below.
The next meeting is at Abridge on Wednesday 18th November.
The entry list will be posted on the old Seniors notice board at the back entrance to the changing rooms from 26th Oct.
I can't remember who has told me they wish to play, so please make sure you enter on the sheet. The usual rules apply with 2 of your scores counting for the Championship -- rules are still on the web site.
Spiggy, Roger and Dave will lose 3, 2, and 1 shots respectively - FOR PRIZE MONEY only on their next appearance.
Keep safe
Brian
