Ash's Days Out
Away day 2022/23 : Top Meadow 17th April 23
For a change we had a lovely spring day for the awayday at Top Meadow. 28 seniors were due to play, but unfortunately Joe had to miss out as last week's rain meant buggies were not available. Well done to Simon and Robbo for not dropping out and bravely walking the course.
The course was in good condition, but it's a tough course needing good positional play to score well. 3 players played to handicap, or above, whilst 9 players scored a respectable 30-34. The rest had their awayday competition average score dented somewhat.
Congratulations to all the individual winners.
1st Mike Tringam with a superb score of 40.
2nd Andy Sargent with an excellent 36 (b9 18)
3rd Simon Hughes with an equally good 36 (b9 12)
The team game was fun, I think!!!
The honour of the most holes where nothing was scored went to team 2 as they failed to score on 15 holes. The actual honour of winning went to team 7 Hughes/Sargent/Bell/Buckingham with 24pts
NP on 18th was Don Buckingham (Thank you to Roger for sponsoring the wine for NP)
And the spare bottle of wine was subject to a 'Guess the total team zero hole' and won by Andy Sargent. 86 was the answer and Andy guessed 87
A good day for team 7.. taking all the prizes bar Individual 1st.
