Results from Ash's 2nd Day at Hartswood GC
Wednesday 2nd September 2020
By popular demand an awayday was organised at Hartswood again. Last time out there were no mishaps with arrivals/starts, but no such luck this time. AA had to drop out late due to Lyn injuring her knee, we wish her well; Colin the 'taxi driver' couldn't find his way to Hartswood, and Stephen Richardson, I mean Richard Stephenson, decided as he was about to tee off to make a dash to his car to change into his golf shoes.
The weather was dry and sunny, but the glaring sun, surface dew and leaves on the ground made it difficult to see where the ball was going and to find the ball. In fact Ash lost more balls than he had points by the 8th hole. It only got marginally better for Ash, just too many trees got in the way of his shots. Probably the same for a few others who don't hit a straight ball.
The scoring was not bad, obviously Doughy and Greggy like this course and were among the prizes again, but not as winner and runner up. Relegated to 2nd and 3rd by Dave Cormack with an amazing 41. Well done to all the winners, comisrations to the rest.
