Our 'Poppy' man Les Polden (Top), on the morning of the Comp, doing all the final organising (handing out cards and taking money in this case!) to ensure that for yet another year the Poppy Day Charity Golf game runs smoothly.
Below, some of the c80 players that took part on the day, sometimes in the rain!
Les's target was to raise in excess of £2000 for the day, but was delighted to advise us later in the day that he fully expected the sum to be very close to, or possibly exceeding, £3000! Excellent news.

Congratulations to the overall winners on the day with a staggeringly good 126 points (although only just won on a better back 9 score than the team in 2nd) David Datsun, Doug Carrington, Richard Gardner and Barry Shelton.
