Ash's Days Out
Away day 2022 : Top Meadow on 24th January
The 1st Away day for 2022 was dry and not too cold for Jan.
24 seniors were due to play at Top Meadow, but unfortunately Robbo had to drop out on Sunday evening as he had contracted Covid. We all wish him well.
Top Meadow is proving to be a popular venue for the Seniors because there is always a good turnout. The course is dryer than Warley and generally in good condition, however, the greens were not in the best of health. It is though vg VFM!
Well done to everybody (nearly) for completing their rounds inside the 4 hours and 15 minute target.
The average score was 32, so that's pretty good in winter conditions. However, taking the honours at Top Meadow were:
1st J Powell 45pts who will be cut 3 plus 1 for over 40
2nd B French 40pts who will be cut 2 plus 1 for getting 40
3rd R Wells 38 pts who will be cut 1
These cuts apply for the next away day they play.
NP 1st was Dave Skinner (the only one who got not the green!).
Well done to all the winners and thank you to Roger Tallentire for supplying the wine for nearest to pin (again) - even going home immediately after the game to get it - that's commitment to the seniors for you.
