Seniors' Captains Day : Prize Winners
An excellent start to the day with balls and markers provided by Senior Captain Kim.
Slight rain didn't get in the way of an excellent day, enjoyed by the 53 of us that played. More came along for lunch, and the Captain was very pleased to see Bob Doe and Bob Phillips [who joined their mate, Doug] and our senior statesmen Mo Smith, Peter Hill, Alan Taylor and Ken Green who joined the noisy table!
It was great that the Club Captain Jessie could take part, and that he graciously declined to play to win!
Yellow and red colours were the order of the day, apparently to celebrate the Captain's charity ie Essex and Herts Air Ambulance (some of us thought is was a sponsorship link to MacDonalds or DHL colours).
Some random, pre and during, golf photos follow below, with results and more photos.

Some very good scores on the day. Doug was well rewarded for his exceptional 46, but unfortunately poor Paul didn't get any dinner or prizes for his also very good 44 (all part of the 'not being at dinner rules'). In true seniors form 3 players managed to get DQ'd. (on this occasion the web editor wasn't one of them!)
Both the Captain Kim and the Vice Captain performed very well indeed and Steve has set out his clear intention to follow Kim and perform at a high standard next year - a sure way to avoid any language difficulties!
A good lunch was followed by the presentation of the days prize winners and then the competition winners for the first half of 2019. The table of prize winners and photos (thank you Rex) are below. Also the full results list for all players.
The 'guess the total score for the day" charity sweepstake prize was won by Steve Abbott, which raised some £62 for the Captain Kim's charity (Essex and Herts Air Ambulance). The Captains thanks go to all for their donations and especially to Dave Handley and Steve who added further contributions to the total.
Thank you for the day Kim.
