How the Cup Competition will Operate
You will shortly be entered in the Ladies and Seniors Virtual Fantasy Cup. It is Virtual so you can join in as much as you want to, or observe, or ignore.
We aim to run the competition on Wednesday April 8th which is forecast to be sunny.
Jeanie and I will organize the cup with lots of support from Gordon and Sarah. It will work as follows. You will play in drawn pairs and play in 4 balls. You will all play off scratch and it will be a Greensome but scored as a medal. If the number of ladies or men is not equal you can still play but as a pair of ladies or a pair of men.
It will last all day and scores will be reported after each 3 holes by email.
Playing the main Warley course each team will get a score on each hole from the roll of two dice (WHICH WE DO) and scoring as follows:
Dice total is 2 it will be aa birdie on a par 3 or a par 4 and an eagle on a par 5 HOWEVER IF
If the total is 2 (i.e.1 and 1) we will role one dice again and if it is a 1 you will get a hole in one on a par 3, an eagle on a par 4, or an albatross on a par 5
Dice total is 3 it will be birdie or an eagle if it is on a par 5
Dice total 4 or 5 will be a birdie
Dice total 6,7, or 8 will be a par
Dice total 9 or 10 will be a bogey
Dice total 11 or 12 will be a double bogey
Looks complicated – don’t worry as we will manage it. You just watch out for the scores. I REPEAT – WE ROLL THE DICE – and we will be in different teams so no chance of miscounting scores.
We will provide prizes for 1st and 2nd and best front 9 and best back 9 to be presented at the next proper Ladies and Seniors. Ties calculated in the normal way and if still level roll of dice and lowest wins.
Additionally, there will be a prize for the best dressed Lady and the best dressed Man. The theme will be RED WHITE and BLUE. We will select the winner after consultation.
NOTE: To be in with a chance of winning you must send in photos on the day to Gordon – see below.
There will also be an overall competition between the Captains and Vice Captains teams. This will be scored as the Ryder Cup (1 point for a win or ½ each if all square) with each 4 ball a match – lowest score wins the match.

Your Role on the Day
During the day please email photos to Gordon on allen393@icloud.com and he will post them on the website. You will get the link before Wednesday.
Additionally, please send any comments on how you or your playing partners or anyone else you see on the course are doing or what mishaps they have – remember it’s Fantasy - to Gordon on the same email or on our WhatsApp group. Keep comments short and hopefully witty - Gordon will vet them.
The first email at the start will be at 9am on Wednesday.
Then after each 3 holes you will see the commentary and scores in your email which Gordon and Sarah have kindly agreed to send out. You can view the photos on the website link.
It is likely to last all day as we have planned in a break for lunch and drinks after 9 holes
Join in if you can.
We will post the draw on Sunday so get searching your wardrobe for Red, White, and Blue gear and use the excuse to get out of your pyjamas for at least one day.
