Competition Charge Card for 2018
From January 1st 2018, the “Club” Seniors Comps and all the other Seniors comps, like the Brazier Trophy etc, will have a £3 booking fee taken from the Competition Charge Card on booking, so there will not be any more £3 collected after the competitions.
The money for those comps that up to now have had £3 collected after the comp, will now go direct from the Club Treasurer to the Seniors Treasurer.
This will save you all getting somewhat confused as to what you have to do, so all Competition Bookings will be identical regarding money transaction.
Mike is also able to do the random draw for each Competition by the press of a button so it makes sense to treat all Competitions in the same way.
How much to put on your card?
The Total number of Competitions you played in 2017 on the notice board, as mentioned in an e-mail I sent recently, include competitions entered both “Club” and Seniors but does not include K.O.Comps. which will also be the same entry taken from the Competition Charge Card from Jan 2018.
I am pleased to tell you that the terminal has been installed and tested and Keith also has the COMPETITION CARDS, which I have already issued to those that have put money in the relevant envelopes.
Following his previous e-mail regarding the above, he is aware that some members may have failed to read the details and would be grateful if you would all kindly mention what needs to be done to all you playing
partners, in case they are not aware and so they do not miss out on being able to enter into K.O’s and other Competitions.
I think word of mouth is a more likely method to ensure all members are aware and would thank you in advance.
I have also be able to confirm that when you book into either a drawn Competition or one with a Start Sheet, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with which competition you have booked and, with a Start Sheet, what time you have booked.
I know that everyone’s computer set up is not the same but if you have it set to only receive e-mails into your inbox from “Contacts” then you will need to input the e-mail address below as a contact in order that the confirmation email’s are not sent to your junk box where you may, or may not see them, so this is the address you need to add firstname.lastname@example.org
I will be sending dates and times for when you will be able to see how easy the system is to operate and in the meantime don’t forget to look at the list in the changing room to give you an idea how much to initially put onto the Competition Card and how to do this.
Keith Regan will be demonstrating the new computer system for all those playing in competitions.
He will usually be at the Club on Saturdays and Sundays to show how the system works. He will be in the terrace room. Anyone wishing to put their initial money on the Competition Card can hand it to him during these times.
